The White Sox were unable to muster a hit after the fifth inning with ice-cold bats, stretching their losing streak to four, during which they have scored \u2026 four runs.<\/p>\n
The White Sox started something good early against Kyle Bradish: Mike Tauchman started the inning with a walk, and with two outs Colson Montgomery singled. Curtis Mead followed with an RBI single off of a good curveball to give the Good Guys a 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the offense, Tyler Gilbert opened for Sean Burke with a 1-2-3 half inning. Then Burke came on in the second and coasted through the top of the second, retiring batters in order.<\/p>\n
In the second inning, Chase Meidroth continued his hit streak to 11 with a one-out single. Alas, Dominic Fletcher hit into a double play to end the inning.<\/p>\n
Baltimore\u2019s Samuel Basallo walked in the top of the third, prompting a quick conversation afterwards, as Burke was once up 0-2 in the at-bat. With two outs, Jackson Holliday extended his on-base streak to a career-high 16 after drawing a walk, and Jeremiah Jackson took advantage of two runners on base with an RBI single to tie the game.<\/p>\n
Fast-forward to the fifth, when Burke walked a batter with two outs. After another walk, Ethan Katz visited Burke while Tyler Alexander started to warm up. Luckily, Tyler O\u2019Neill grounded into a force out, and Burke ended his night with four walks in four innings, but only one run allowed.<\/p>\n
Coby Mayo and Basallo continued to annoy Sox pitching via a walk and a single off of two different bullpen arms. Colton Cowser would give the Orioles the lead in the sixth with a three-run shot (on two outs, of course).<\/p>\n
Mike Vasil stepped in and allowed a single from O\u2019Neill and nothing else ahead of the stretch. Michael A. Taylor stepped in to hit and was once up 3-0, only to strike out. Mayo walked yet again to lead off the eighth, but the White Sox were left unscathed, and once again couldn\u2019t answer in the bottom half. Holliday singled again in an otherwise quiet ninth for the O\u2019s, and the White Sox went down with three easy outs.<\/p>\n
At least there were dogs in attendance.<\/p>\n
