While Green Bay Packers fans keep on thanking Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for trading superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to their team just before the start of the 2025 NFL regular season, Jones himself doesn\u2019t seem bothered by the criticism people are leveling at him for that move.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are 30 other teams other than the Cowboys playing without Micah, this week, Jones said during a recent appearance on 105.3 The FAN (h\/t Jon Machota of The Athletic ). \u201cThere\u2019s ways to play defense and scheme that don\u2019t necessarily involve any player, whether it be Deion Sanders, looking way back, or who it is, a lot of people won a lot of games and didn\u2019t have Deion Sanders on the field for them. How\u2019d that happen?\u201d<\/p>\n

That the Packers are turning heads with two wins already to start the 2025 NFL season isn\u2019t helping Jones\u2019 case. Green Bay defeated the Detroit Lions in Week 1 and the Washington Commanders on Thursday.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the trade has been made, and there\u2019s really not much else left for the Cowboys to do on the Parsons front other than to hope that Kenny Clark plays at a high level for the Dallas and that the two future first-round picks from Green Bay would turn out to be stars in the pros.<\/p>\n

Jones under fire after doubling down on Parsons\u2019 trade to Packers<\/b><\/h2>\n

Jones\u2019 explanation, however, isn\u2019t calming down Cowboys fans, who remain angry over Dallas\u2019 decision to move on from the four-time Pro Bowler, who may have not even reached his peak yet in the NFL.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can spend years & a few dozen picks & not land an elite top 5 pass rusher.\u00a0 So.. good luck with all those late first round picks.,\u201d said a fan on X.<\/p>\n

Another one said: \u201cSounds a little defensive, as he should be.\u00a0 The difference between Dallas and those other 30 teams playing without Micah?\u00a0 Dallas had him and let him go.\u201d<\/p>\n

From a commenter: \u201cJerry Jones is the absolute worst owner in all of football.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been a Cowboys fan before he bought the team and I will be a Cowboys when he joins his buddy Al Davis\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey Cowboys won\u2019t find another impact player like Parsons while Jerry is alive, maybe Stephen too,\u201d a social media user posted.<\/p>\n

Via a different commenter: \u201cdid he confuse Micah with Dak? trade Dak is the quickest way to a superbowl!\u201d<\/p>\n

Said another: \u201cThis is exactly the wrong philosophy, but hey. It\u2019s Jerry. If he was right about things he wouldn\u2019t be in the midst of a 30 year \u201cdrought\u201d.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
