Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson have been given another reason to be annoyed with the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n

The North Carolina head coach and his girlfriend, through Belichick\u2019s company TCE Rights Management, filed for over a dozen trademarks in April. According to ESPN\u2019s Michael Rothstein, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office denied four of those applications due to \u201clikelihood of confusion\u201d with existing trademarks.<\/p>\n

The owner of those existing trademarks? The Patriots. The four applications that were denied were for \u201cDo Your Job (Bill\u2019s Version),\u201d \u201cIgnore the Noise (Bill\u2019s Version),\u201d \u201cThe Belestrator (Bill\u2019s Version)\u201d and \u201cNo Days Off (Bill\u2019s Version).\u201d<\/p>\n

New England owns the rights to all four trademarks, sans the \u201c(Bill\u2019s Version)\u201d part. Per the report, TCE Rights Management\u2019s four trademark applications were denied because consumers may be \u201cconfused, mistaken, or deceived\u201d by the true source of the products or services being sold that make use of such expressions.<\/p>\n

The result won\u2019t help Belichick\u2019s already deteriorating relationship with the Patriots. The veteran coach recently banned New England\u2019s scouts from North Carolina\u2019s practice facility, leaving them unable to get a close look at any Tar Heels players in person.<\/p>\n

Belichick explained that he made the decision because he\u2019s currently \u201cnot welcome\u201d in the Patriots\u2019 facility. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel, however, does not believe that to be the case.<\/p>\n
