Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker picked up his 800th career win on Monday as the Braves defeated the Chicago Cubs, 4-1.<\/p>\n
All 800 of Snitker\u2019s wins have been with the Braves, the only organization he\u2019s been with since the team drafted and hired him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt means a lot. I never thought I\u2019d get one, let alone 800. I\u2019ve been surrounded by really good players for 10 year, so that\u2019s a byproduct of that,\u201d Snitker told FanDuel Sports Network\u2019s Paul Byrd after the game.<\/p>\n

Snitker praised his mentor, former Braves manager Bobby Cox, and more importantly his wife, Ronnie, for her support.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for her, I wouldn\u2019t be doing this right now I\u2019ll tell you that,\u201d Snitker told Byrd.<\/p>\n
Before the game, Braves general manager and president of baseball operations Alex Anthopoulos spoke with reporters about Snitker\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Channel 2 sports director Zach Klein<\/b> asked if there have been any talks with Snitker, who is in the final year of his contract, about his role.<\/p>\n
\u201cSnit\u2019s going to be in this organization forever. I\u2019m not the owner obviously… But Snit will be part of this organization no matter what, well past when I\u2019m here. He\u2019s Braves for life,\u201d Anthopoulos said.<\/p>\n
He added that staffing and rosters are \u201cthings we always address at the end of the year\u201d once the team gets through the season.<\/p>\n
