Micah Parsons is set to lead the Green Bay Packers as the newest superstar on defense. The team has a lot of goals entering 2025, but one thing Parsons sees in the future is some of his new teammates signing some massive contracts.<\/p>\n

Parsons inked a contract extension with Green Bay upon signing that saw him become the highest-valued non-quarterback player in the NFL with an average annual value (AAV) of $47 million. However, Parsons also envisions his abilities helping his teammates get their payday as well.<\/p>\n

Importantly, Parsons highlighted the connectivity on defense between the pass rush and the coverage unit on the back end. As he described in his response, there will be times where good coverage from players like Xavier McKinney and Keisean Nixon will allow him to get a sack; other times, it will be his pass-rushing ability that will make life easier for his teammates in the secondary.<\/p>\n

Micah Parsons is Used to Playing Alongside All-Pros<\/h2>\n

During his time in Dallas, Parsons played alongside high-quality defensive backs like Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland, each of whom have been All-Pros in the recent past. Parsons envisions some of his new teammates reaching such heights during his time in Green Bay.<\/p>\n

Last season, McKinney was the first Packers safety to be named All-Pro in over twenty years. A second consecutive year of that honor would be an impressive achievement. It will be up to defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley to maximize what the unit can achieve as a whole. If the unit can be great as a sum of their parts, no doubt that many of its individuals will earn accolades.<\/p>\n

Hafley has done his homework on Parsons, and is surely salivating at the opportunity to deploy one of the NFL\u2019s most dangerous weapons on a weekly basis. Green Bay\u2019s first order of business will be to assert dominance in the division \u2013 they are set to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday.<\/p>\n
