The Dallas Cowboys are in a transition, as they are starting to learn what life is like after Micah Parsons , after trading him to the Green Bay Packers last week.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s undeniably a big hole left in Arlington by Parsons, but Dallas will try to fill that void with the help of Cowboys newcomer Kenny Clark . The veteran defensive tackle, along with first-round picks in the 2026 and 2027 NFL drafts, were the returns Dallas got from the Packers in the trade.<\/p>\n

It might take some time before Clark gets fully familiar with his new surroundings, but Dallas trusts him to play a significant role in its defense, which was second-last in the league in 2024 with 27.5 points allowed per game but No. 2 overall with a 9.22 percent defensive sack rate.<\/p>\n

Clark, who has two more years left on his current contract, played nine seasons with the Packers and earned three Pro Bowl nods over that stretch. He can be on the field with his new team as soon as Week 1 of the 2025 NFL regular season, with Dallas scheduled to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on the road this coming Thursday.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Clark is still very much motivated to make a positive impact on the field despite the stunning trade that not a lot saw coming.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo nonsense, you\u2019re going to get a dawg, somebody that\u2019s just all about football,\u201d Clark said, per Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys\u2019 official website . \u201cI\u2019m here to ball. I\u2019m here to be my best self. I feel like when I\u2019m my best self, there\u2019s nobody messing with me. That\u2019s what I bring to the table, I\u2019m here to play my ass off.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far in his pro career, Clark has 35.0 sacks and 236 solo tackles to go with seven forced fumbles across 140 games (126 starts).<\/p>\n
