Ahead of Wednesday\u2019s series finale in Toronto, the Minnesota Twins announced that they have returned right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day injured list.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s expected to start on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Woods Richardson was placed on the 15-day IL on Aug. 4 with an illness and he recently made two appearances (1 start) on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, allowing four runs (3 earned) on six hits (1 home run) in 5.1 innings pitched, with two walks and eight strikeouts.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s\u00a0made 17 appearances (16 starts) for the Twins this season, going 5-4 with a 4.24 earned run average.<\/p>\n

To make room on the 26-man roster, the Twins optioned pitcher Pierson Ohl to AAA-St. Paul.<\/p>\n

One other roster note: Right-handed reliever\u00a0Erasmo Ram\u00edrez\u00a0has accepted his assignment to AAA-St. Paul. He was designated for release or assignment on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
