It turns out that Drake Maye is a bit of a chatterbox on the field — both to his teammates and his opponents.<\/p>\n

The New England Patriots quarterback was mic\u2019d up during Sunday\u2019s win over the Chicago Bears. In a video posted Wednesday, Maye could be seen constantly encouraging teammates throughout the game.<\/p>\n

But the most interesting exchange came between Maye and fellow rookie quarterback Caleb Williams when the two met for a postgame hug at midfield. The two clasped hands and hugged for only a few seconds, but Maye still managed to give three separate messages to the No. 1 overall pick.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re that guy, man. Best of luck, man. Stay healthy, bro,\u201d Maye said.<\/p>\n

Williams returned the sentiment, responding, \u201cYup. Yeah, same to you. Stay healthy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 19-3 victory in Chicago was a big step forward for a Patriots team that had been struggling, particularly for Maye. In addition to some big-time passes and timely runs, Maye also showed that he\u2019s developing as a leader. The rookie quarterback spoke in front of the team after what he thought was a lackluster practice last Wednesday. It was a move that drew praise from teammates.<\/p>\n

If the mic\u2019d up footage is any indication, Maye is helping the Patriots with more than just his right arm and his legs. His voice is making an impact as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
