The fight-filled joint practice last Thursday involving the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks continues to be talked about, even after Saturday\u2019s preseason matchup between the two teams at Lambeau Field.<\/p>\n

It can be recalled that\u00a0Packers star right tackle Zach Tom\u00a0was\u00a0tossed off the field\u00a0for his actions during the said practice. He was apparently caught throwing punches at Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV and cornerback Devon Witherspoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s already disrespectful that they\u2019re in our huddle,\u201d Tom said on Thursday about what blew up his fuse (h\/t\u00a0Brady Henderson of ESPN), \u201cand then somebody gets hit while we\u2019re in the huddle, got to have some pride, you know?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Green Bay Packers HC Matt LaFleur sounds off on removing Tom from practice because of a rule about getting shown the door if caught throwing a punch.<\/p>\n

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur explained what happened following Green Bay\u2019s 20-7 victory over the Seahawks on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Matt LaFleur on pulling Zach Tom from Thursday\u2019s joint practice vs Seahawks: \u201cThat\u2019s just our rule, if you throw a punch. He was not the only person at fault. He\u2019s just the one I saw. Then you watch it (on film), and you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh, a lot of people should\u2019ve been pulled.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The heated practice battles with the Seahawks are all behind the Packers now, though. Tom and the rest of the team now turn their focus on Week 1 of the 2025 NFL regular season, as they will be locking horns with the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field on Sept. 7.<\/p>\n
