That\u2019s exactly what happened to a couple who were enjoying a nice stroll in Missouri.<\/p>\n<p>Once they realized what was happening, <strong>they were surprised to see the little puppies <\/strong>and their tired mom.<\/p>\n<p>But right away, <strong>they knew they had to step in and help.<\/strong> So, the couple gently picked up the puppies and their mother and took them to Stray Rescue of St. Louis (SRSL).<\/p>\n<p>After they got there, <strong>the team at SRSL was impressed<\/strong> by how healthy and chubby the puppies were, especially for their age.<\/p>\n<p>However, <strong>their mother was in bad shape,<\/strong> being very underfed and thirsty. It was obvious she had given everything to take care of her little ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The staff at SRSL gave the mama dog lots of love<\/strong> and created a warm, quiet place for her to rest and heal, while also making sure she had enough food and water to help her get her strength back.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>the puppies received medical care and were watched closely.<\/strong> Later they were named after famous golfers, which was a fun connection to a golf tournament fundraiser happening on the same day they were rescued.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later, a caring foster mom named <strong>Megan Percell heard of these puppies<\/strong> and took the little family into her home.<\/p>\n<p>With her support and affection, <strong>the puppies started to grow stronger and stronger each day.<\/strong> Mary, Queen of Scots, the mama dog, was also getting better and putting on weight.<\/p>\n<p>The SRSL team feels hopeful that <strong>Mary and her puppies will soon find loving families. <\/strong>They are also very thankful to Megan for taking them in and giving them the care they desperately need.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Discover the story of a litter of puppies rescued from the woods.
