Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2018s dating situation in the summer of 2023 was a well-kept secret unless you were Patrick Mahomes.<\/p>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback shared in the ESPN docuseries, The Kingdom<\/em>, how he found out his teammate was dating the 35-year-old pop star, but he didn\u2019t necessarily believe what Kelce told him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me during the week,\u201d Patrick explained in the docuseries, via E! News<\/em>. \u201cIt was one of those where I gotta see it until I believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

That day came on Sept. 24, 2023, when Swift showed up to Arrowhead Stadium and cheered on Kelce with his mom, Donna. \u201cYou definitely felt the buzz, and you could see people in the stadium gravitating towards where she was up there,\u201d Patrick noted. \u201cAt the same time, we had business to handle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kelce\u2019s secret was safe with Patrick, which is probably why Swift feels comfortable hanging out with her boyfriend\u2019s bestie and his wife, Brittany. They were the first people Kelce and Swift called after she did the Kelce brothers\u2019 podcast, New Heights<\/em>, on Aug. 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey called [Brittany] after the podcast was done\u2026 and I was in the back of the FaceTime,\u201d Patrick said at an Aug. 13 press conference. \u201cI\u2019m obviously super excited. Just knowing Taylor and seeing the process from just a little bit closer of how she makes the albums, it\u2019s going to be amazing because of how much work she puts into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift has quickly transformed into an NFL fan, and Kelce appreciates her efforts.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is the most engulfed fan now,\u201d he told GQ<\/em> in an Aug. 12 interview. \u201cShe knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short\u2014all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now the \u201cCruel Summer\u201d singer is officially a WAG; her bond with the Mahomes family has only grown.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor and Brittany have grown even closer over the past several months,\u201d a source told Us Weekly<\/em> in January 2024. \u201cThey have a really genuine friendship and love hanging out at the games together and cheering on their men. Brittany loves that Taylor is dating Travis, and she\u2019s so supportive of their relationship. They have a very similar sense of humor and are always cracking jokes and laughing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Patrick might have been skeptical in the beginning, but Kelce\u2019s romance with Swift is the real deal.<\/p>\n
