The Kansas City Chiefs have been in the Super Bowl for the last five of six seasons. They have won the Super Bowl three times and have also been in the AFC Championship Game seven straight seasons.<\/p>\n

The only two teams to be in the Super Bowl from the AFC in that span is the New England Patriots and Tom Brady and the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has accomplished a lot for the Chiefs over the last seven seasons in the NFL. Is he already one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time?<\/p>\n

Mike Sando of The Athletic interviewed different people across the league about the quarterbacks in the NFL. To no surprise, Mahomes is in Tier 1, and he is the number one ranked quarterback in the NFL. One NFL offensive coordinator said about Mahomes,<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Mahomes is the best quarterback to ever live. but the gap is smaller than it was a year ago.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is one of the most ridiculous comments that someone can make. Did we forget that Mahomes lost twice to Brady in the playoffs and also in the Super Bowl? Brady has won seven Super Bowl titles. He also went back-to-back. Mahomes may never achieve winning seven Super Bowls.<\/p>\n

To go along with that, Brady played in a way tougher era of quarterbacks with Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers, and Tony Romo. The quarterbacks in today\u2019s NFL with Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow are very good, don\u2019t kid yourself. However, Mahomes doesn\u2019t have to face the gauntlet that Brady had to face during the years he played.<\/p>\n

The rules are so different with defenses now in the NFL. Opposing defenses will get flagged 15 yards for a penalty for barely touching Mahomes, let alone breathing on him. Brady used to get punished back in the day against defenses that had different rules. Also, Joe Montana might be a better all-time quarterback than Mahomes is.<\/p>\n

Mahomes is 29 years old and he has a lot of years left ahead of him. In 112 games in his career so far, he has completed 66.6% of his passes for 32,352 yards, 245 touchdowns, and 74 interceptions. He has also rushed for 2,243 yards on 432 carries and 14 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.2 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

If he never wins another Super Bowl, the offensive coordinator may want to take his words back. If that happens, then the odds are that Jalen Hurts won another Super Bowl or potentially Jackson or Allen finally won a title or more. There is a very good chance that the Chiefs and Mahomes could potentially start to decline sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n
