The Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs last season after having to deal with a host of injuries to star players on both sides of the ball. The disappointing season resulted in head coach Mike McCarthy\u2019s departure this offseason.<\/p>\n

Now, former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is the franchise\u2019s head coach, and he has not been shy about the team\u2019s goal being winning a Super Bowl in his first season.<\/p>\n

Schottenheimer\u2019s confidence and belief appear to have already rubbed off on his players, according to one prominent Dallas insider. All-Pro Left guard Tyler Smith was not shy about what he feels the expectations for the Cowboys this season are.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuper Bowl champions. That\u2019s always the expectations,\u201d\u00a0Smith said, per Jon Machota, before following up with how realistic a goal he thought that was. \u201cI think it is a realistic goal.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
