Looks like Elgton Jenkins is winning executives, coaches, and scouts as the Green Bay Packers guard has been named among the Top 10 best offensive lineman for the coming season.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old\u2019s highest rank was #4 back in 2023 but he saw himself slip to no. 10 on the list last year. A great 2024 season had himself redeemed as many coaches and executives consulted by ESPN for their annual ranking sound optimistic about him.<\/p>\n

Team officials voted their Top 10 players in each position and for the offensive lineman, it is Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 Creed Humphrey who got the top spot. He was no. 7 from the year before.<\/p>\n

ESPN wrote about Jenkins:<\/p>\n

Not many players embody \u201cpositional flexibility\u201d more than Jenkins, who can handle all five positions on the line.<\/p>\n

He was drafted as a guard, only to fill in at left tackle when David Bakhtiari got injured, then swung over to right tackle for a stint and played mostly left guard last year \u2014 but Jenkins is slated to man the center position in 2025.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jenkins improved by one spot with some execs suggesting he should be higher based on the way he is perceived around the league.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe guy is so underrated,\u201d an NFL coordinator was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan play anywhere, tough, physical, smart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elgton Jenkins revised role for 2025<\/h2>\n

Jenkins is finding his groove back but there will be a major change in his role for the Packers soon.<\/p>\n

Josh Myers left the team for the New York Jets and the plan is to go from a guard role to center. Will this affect his standing as one of the best OL or will his play dip again?<\/p>\n

General manager Brian Gutekunst thinks he will excel at it. In fact, he believes he can be an \u201cAll-Pro center\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel he\u2019s got a chance to be an All-Pro center,\u201d the GM said back in March.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve talked about it a lot, how versatility plays into our offensive line and having guys that can move to different spots, and Elgton\u2019s one of those guys who can play all five spots. So, he\u2019s a luxury, but I\u2019m excited to see what he can do at center, as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
