Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb led the NFL in receptions in 2023 and was named first-team All-Pro after hauling in 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.<\/p>\n
However, Lamb\u2019s numbers declined across the board in 2024.<\/p>\n
Yes, that was due in part to Prescott being injured for half of the season. But even when Prescott was healthy, Lamb reached the 100-yard mark only once in eight games.<\/p>\n
Dak Prescott expects to have better chemistry with CeeDee Lamb in 2025 due to the fact that they are working together throughout this offseason. Lamb held out ahead of last year while negotiating a new contract with the Cowboys — a move that Prescott understood but also believes impacted their connection on the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cYea, not even comparable,\u201d Prescott said at his youth camp this week when asked about his connection with Lamb now compared to this time last year.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not even comparable to last year. … I mean for one, you\u2019ve gotta credit the offseason and the lack of a contract negotiation, right? So he even alluded to that just in some conversations, of how much better it feels, right? Of him being involved.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Lamb did not agree to an extension with the Cowboys until the end of August last year, after he missed more than 30 days due to a holdout.<\/p>\n Again, Prescott understood Lamb\u2019s decision to not take part in workouts. But the fact that he is participating in every aspect of this offseason should pay dividends once the 2025 season begins.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s business. That last year was nothing personal from anybody. But he wanted to be involved, right?
