Former Penn State star Micah Parsons remains without a contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys, a situation that seems illogical.<\/p>\n
With news that T.J. Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers is still looking for a new extension, the Cowboys have to understand that he’ll only be more expensive if he gets a deal.<\/p>\n

When searching for what could play out, Blogging The Boys recently came up with some good ideas. They discussed how Parsons could become more expensive over the next few weeks to months if the Cowboys don’t reach a deal with the former Penn State star before Watt takes his.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the end, that is bad news for the Cowboys and their salary cap, as waiting to \u2018call Micah\u2019s agent\u2019 may end up costing them quite a bit of money in the end. The Cowboys have struggled to get ahead of deals with their star players in the past, and it sure sounds like waiting on the Parsons\u2019 deal will only hurt the Cowboys in the end,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n
Jerry Jones has continued to make questionable decisions when it comes to his players, but holding out on Parsons simply doesn’t make much sense.<\/p>\n
The only thing that might be playing in Jones’ favor is that Parsons has continued to show up to things.<\/p>\n

If Parsons skipped OTAs, said he wouldn’t show up to training camp, and other factors are considered, it’s possible that the Cowboys would\u2019ve gotten this deal done.<\/p>\n
