The Cardinals have already won the series, so in theory, game 2 of the doubleheader is just gravy. But I\u2019m a greedy man and I\u2019m assuming you dear reader are also greedy, and want all the wins against the White Sox. I was forced to mostly follow Game 1 on my phone and it was a bit of a frustrating time for me. Working and seeing the Cardinals not lead all game. Luckily I got home in time to watch Yohel Pozo hit what ended up being the game-winning single.<\/p>\n
For game 2, we are blessed with the opportunity to see Michael McGreevy. McGreevy was called up for game 2 and for better news, McGreevy can be called back up at any time because the 15 day-rule does not apply if you are the extra man on a doubleheader. He\u2019s made one start, although really he threw the equivalent of two starts. One went well, one went okay against a great offense. The White Sox counter with Mike Vasil, who is not listed as a starter on Roster Resource, but did throw 71 pitches in his last outing. So he\u2019s stretched out.<\/p>\n

He will likely to be the Cardinals All-Star representative. I don\u2019t know why I\u2019m justifying putting Donovan here, you get it.<\/p>\n CHW: Chase Meidroth: The White Sox seem to always have middle infielders with no power who make tons of contact. Meidroth, a 4th round pick from 2022, carries on that tradition. He\u2019s been an average hitter, walking 11% of the time and striking out 14% of the time.
