The Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels created their share of fireworks long before Ceddanne Rafaela\u2019s walk-off home run Wednesday at Fenway Park.<\/p>\n

Red Sox first base\/infield coach Jos\u00e9 Flores got into it on the field with Angels starting pitcher Tyler Anderson prior to the game. Flores and Anderson had a heated, face-to-face exchange and after Anderson walked away, Angels pitching coach Barry Enright had words with Flores.<\/p>\n

After a few moments of an animated conversation between Flores and Enright, Red Sox third base coach Kyle Hudson stepped in \u2014 some Red Sox players made their way over to the area, too \u2014 and held back Flores, preventing the shouting match from going any further.<\/p>\n

Red Sox manager Alex Cora addressed the situation following Boston\u2019s 11-9 win, but didn\u2019t go into much detail about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust baseball talk,\u201d Cora told reporters, per The Associated Press. \u201cDisagreements that happened during the series, but everything\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Video of the pregame beef circulated on social media and also showed Cora calmly talking with Anderson in the outfield after tempers had flared. Presumably, Cora got Anderson\u2019s side of the story.<\/p>\n

The Red Sox and Angels seemed to put the incident behind them as no emotions boiled over during the course of the game between the two sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
