You know, we can laugh about it now and I\u2019m sure his teammates were cracking jokes, but watching Moises Ballesteros stumble out of the batter\u2019s box did concern me at first during Friday\u2019s Cubs\u2019 game against the White Sox. But hey, it turns out that the Cubs rookie literally swung out of his shoes, well at least one of them, in what ended up being Ballesteros\u2019 first career RBI in the major leagues.<\/p>\n

Ballesteros was called up earlier this week and made his MLB debut against the Marlins. The 21-year-old went 0-for-4 on Tuesday, grounding out all four times. On Friday, he came up to the plate with runners at second and third with one out. The White Sox were playing the infield in and there was a play at the plate after Ballesteros bounced a chopper to Andrew Vaughn.<\/p>\n

At first glance it appeared as though Ballesteros might have tripped, but his left shoe dug into the dirt and he had no choice but to leave it behind and run to first base.<\/p>\n
