Micah Parsons clapped back at a fan on social media who echoed a familiar critique of the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0star pass-rusher.<\/p>\n
Parsons is in attendance for the Cowboys\u2019 voluntary workouts, which started on Monday. He had not attended the prior two years and his presence appeared questionable considering his contract situation.<\/p>\n
Parsons and Dallas are in talks to reach a long-term deal.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s heading into the final year of his rookie contract and is projected to land an extension that will make him among the highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the\u00a0NFL.<\/p>\n
The team has taken its time with the deal, which Cowboys COO Stephen Jones explained during an appearance on 105.3 The Fan.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere the rub comes in is, we\u2019re trying to not only keep guys like Dak (Prescott) and CeeDee (Lamb) and Micah, but we\u2019re also trying to put a team around them that can be and can compete and win championships,\u201d\u00a0Jones said. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to get them to, come a little our way, and take into account some of the things that are positive about playing for the Cowboys.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A disgruntled fan called out Parsons for a recent tweet he sent, saying, \u201cGet back to the practice field and stop tweeting! This guy is so frustrating!\u201d<\/p>\n
The message got the attention of Parsons, who quickly fired back.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere you 9-5 brother? It was 1:55 on a Tuesday afternoon!\u201d Parsons replied.<\/p>\n
