Kristian Campbell has no use for your Opening Day deadlines! After last night\u2019s loss to the Texas Rangers, in which Campbell hit his first big league home run, word broke that the Red Sox are \u201cdeep\u201d into contract extension talks with the rookie. We\u2019ve already seen Craig Breslow jump at the opportunity to sign prospects; he did it just last year when he gave Ceddanne Rafaela an eight-year deal worth $50 million. Given his pedigree as one of baseball\u2019s elite prospects, Campbell will get more than that. Campbell certainly is adjusting to big league baseball quite nicely so far, though it\u2019s irresponsible to draw any conclusions from just three games.
