That&#8217;s up in the air. Keep in mind, we haven&#8217;t even hit free agency or the 2025 NFL Draft yet.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, speaking at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, general manager John Lynch did reveal that the two sides have been talking about the new deal.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We have started negotiations. We&#8217;re talking. I won&#8217;t go into negotiations, like always is our stance. We want Brock to be our quarterback as long as we are here and beyond, and we&#8217;ll leave it at that,&#8221; Lynch said, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. &#8220;I think the final thing; there&#8217;s no guarantees that we&#8217;ll get something done, but my experience has been, when both sides are motivated, there&#8217;s ample opportunity to do so and we&#8217;ve been able to do that.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While Lynch did hedge his bets a bit, it does sound like this is a deal that will be wrapped up well before training camp begins in the summer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The expectation is that Purdy will receive a contract extension sometime this offseason,<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":37265,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-37264","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.6 -
