According to Jason Kelce, brother Travis Kelce was \u201cdown bad\u201d as soon as he started dating Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember the first time he said he was hanging out with her and I remember just being, like, \u2018Are you kidding me? You\u2019re hanging out with Taylor Swift, like, that\u2019s insane [and] that\u2019s awesome for you,\u2019\u201d Jason, 37, recalled during the Friday, February 21, episode of \u201cThe Steam Room\u201d podcast. \u201cYou meet a lot of people [and] I think this felt different.\u201d<\/p>\n

Travis, 35, famously shot his shot with Swift, also 35, during a July 2023 episode of his and Jason\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast. At the time, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end called out Swift for \u201cnot wanting to meet\u201d \u2014 and exchange phone numbers \u2014 when he attended her Eras Tour <\/i>show in KC. Soon enough, Swift listened to Kelce\u2019s \u201cmetal as hell\u201d podcast shout-out and got in touch. They started quietly dating for several months before making their public debut at one of his Chiefs games in September 2023.<\/p>\n

After Travis began hanging out with Swift, he informed his family of the blossoming romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat also felt different is the way he talks about her and talked about her from the moment he was with her,\u201d Jason said on Friday. \u201cYou could tell how much he really, really liked her right from the get-go and just first impressions. I think that level early on of that was something that was very eye-opening to me when we first had discussions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason initially learned of Travis\u2019 connection with Swift long before the romance became a mainstream headline.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe knew before everyone else knew but it was not, like \u2026 it did not hit the group chat,\u201d Jason\u2019s wife, Kylie Kelce<\/strong>, joked during an episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast earlier this month. \u201cJase and I found out together, but we knew before they hard-launched with her going to a game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason and Kylie, 32, met Swift in person for the first time at a 2024 playoff game and later linked up for an intimate double date.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was at home,\u201d Kylie added on the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast. \u201cI don\u2019t know that I really ate the meal. This is going to sound terrible. I didn\u2019t really eat the meal because I was eight weeks pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kylie, who is currently pregnant with her and Jason\u2019s fourth baby, later clarified that she didn\u2019t refuse Swift\u2019s cooking.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t refuse anything, especially if I was without child,\u201d Kylie said on the Thursday, February 20, episode of her \u201cNot Gonna Lie\u201d podcast. \u201cThe home-cooked meals that I did not get to enjoy were not because I refused to eat them, but because the child in my womb overwhelmed me with hormones that suggested if I consume anything other than crackers, that it might be seen again if you catch my drift. Anyone who has experienced pregnancy nausea knows that it\u2019s not a choice. At eight weeks, that\u2019s not a choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
