In wake of recent remarks, the outside observer might assume there is tension between Red Sox stars Rafael Devers and Alex Bregman.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t seem to be the case, however.<\/p>\n

Devers made his desires abundantly clear after Boston signed Bregman, bluntly stating that he wanted to stay at third base and had no interest in moving to another position. But that wasn\u2019t necessarily a shot at Bregman, who Devers referred to as \u201ca great guy\u201d and a \u201cgreat addition\u201d to the Red Sox\u2019s roster.<\/p>\n

Bregman returned the favor Tuesday when he called Devers \u201ca great player\u201d and stressed he was \u201csuper excited\u201d to be the three-time All-Star\u2019s teammate. The two-time World Series champion also pulled back the curtain on his early interactions with Boston\u2019s franchise cornerstone.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been great. We\u2019ve been having a lot of fun,\u201d Bregman told reporters, per MLB.com. \u201cWe\u2019ve been taking ground balls back here, during our work together. Talking about winning. Talking about baseball. Talking about being excited for the season. Last night we all got together and had dinner. It\u2019s great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bregman\u2019s comments corroborated a claim made by Alex Cora, who insisted there was no beef between the pair of star infielders. The Red Sox manager also pointed out how Bregman and Devers had a very lengthy conversation on Boston\u2019s first day of full-squad workouts.<\/p>\n

The Red Sox have quite a bit to figure out before the regular season gets underway in late March. But no matter what Cora decides to do with his talented roster, it seems like all players will buy in for the sake of the greater good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
