The 2024 Major League Baseball season officially came to an end when the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the World Series.<\/p>\n

As the excitement of the postseason wraps up, the tides will switch to the offseason, where there appears to be plenty of excitement to come.<\/p>\n

Many MLB offseasons include players switching teams as they become free agents.<\/p>\n

Arguably the biggest name who will be a free agent heading toward the 2025 season is Yankees star Juan Soto.<\/p>\n

One MLB analyst recently named an under-the-radar team that could land Soto this offseason.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could see the [Baltimore] Orioles being one of these secretive teams to get Soto,\u201d Chris Russo said, via MLB Network.<\/p>\n

It appears the most likely team to sign Soto would be the Yankees, but Russo names the Orioles as a dark horse team that could offer the necessary amount of money.<\/p>\n

Soto will most likely require a large investment to get him signed to a contract, and Russo explains that the Orioles owner has plenty of money to spend.<\/p>\n

If they are able to sign Soto, he would not only take the place of free agent Anthony Santander, but he would also be in the same division as the Yankees.<\/p>\n

The Orioles ultimately had a disappointing end to their season as they were swept by the Kansas City Royals in the wild-card round.<\/p>\n

With the Orioles one of many teams perhaps looking to sign Soto, it will be interesting to see how things play out this offseason.<\/p>\n
