The offseason officially got underway on Thursday, and Alex Anthopoulos wasted no time in making moves. The Atlanta Braves announced that they have traded OF\/DH Jorge Soler to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for right-hander Griffin Canning.<\/p>\n
Soler re-joined the Braves in late July after a stint with the San Francisco Giants. He logged 49 games with the Braves with a .243 average and nine home runs.<\/p>\n
As for Canning, the Braves will be the second team he\u2019s suited up for. In 2024, he logged 32 games with the Halos and posted a 5.19 ERA. He will likely serve as a nice bullpen piece in Atlanta.<\/p>\n
