The 2025 Mets are expected to be better than they were on their magical run last season, and MLB Network believes they have a couple of top players on their roster.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, MLB Network revealed the top 10 of their annual Top 100 Right Now<\/em> list and shortstop Francisco Lindor <\/strong>and newly-acquired outfielder Juan Soto<\/strong> made the cut.<\/p>\n

Lindor was ranked No. 6 in this year’s list after landing at No. 25 in 2024. The veteran shortstop had his best season with the Mets, slashing .273\/.344\/.844 with 33 home runs and 91 RBI. His leadership on and off the field helped the Mets get to the postseason and make it all the way to the National League Championship Series.<\/p>\n

It’s no wonder that Lindor finished second in NL MVP voting, behind Shohei Ohtani.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Soto was ranked No. 4 on the 2025 list after being considered the No. 7 player, according to MLB Network a year ago. The reason for the rise is because the 26-year-old had his best offensive season a year ago. In his lone season with the Yankees, Soto slashed .288\/.419\/.988 with a career-high 41 home runs and drove in 109 runs.<\/p>\n

Those numbers had Soto finishing third in AL MVP voting behind Bobby Witt Jr. <\/strong>and eventual winner Aaron Judge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other Mets that made the list include Pete Alonso<\/strong> (No. 49), Mark Vientos<\/strong> (No. 81) and Brandon Nimmo<\/strong> (No. 91).<\/p>\n
