Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said his recovery from a torn hamstring is moving in a positive direction.<\/p>\n
\u201cGood, my health is good,\u201d Prescott said Tuesday at a news conference promoting the Children\u2019s Cancer Fund\u2019s fashion show where he\u2019s a co-chair with Hall of Famer Troy Aikman. \u201cDoing a lot more, getting there 12 weeks or so out of surgery now, so I\u2019m really looking to amp it up here recently. I got all my confidence and we\u2019ll be fine.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Prescott played in just eight games in the 2024 season before suffering a torn hamstring Nov. 3 against Atlanta.Prescott completed 64.78% of his passes for 1,978 yards with 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He had a career-low 86.0 quarterback rating.<\/p>\n Prescott noted he\u2019s excited to have new coach Brian Schottenheimer take over and bring an old-school approach to things, particularly when it comes to running the ball.<\/p>\n Schottenheimer wants to use more play-action passing, something Prescott believes will help the offense.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s not going to take anything about this game lightly,\u201d Prescott said. \u201cHe enjoys the work in it, old-fashioned, looking forwards to the grind and to some of the things we\u2019re going to do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Dak Prescott says Cowboys \u2018very close\u2019 to winning Super Bowl – Todd Archer, ESPN.com \u201cI feel like we\u2019ve competed with the Eagles and beat them for the most part when we\u2019ve played them,\u201d Prescott said Tuesday after announcing the models for this year\u2019s Children\u2019s Cancer Fund gala that will be held April 11. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say, \u2018Check the record,\u2019 when the other guy is holding the trophy, right? They are coming off a 7-10 finish, as Prescott played just eight games before having his season end because of a partial avulsion of his right hamstring.<\/p>\n In 2025, Prescott will play for his third different head coach \u2014 Brian Schottenheimer \u2014 in 10 seasons.
