NEW Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer has a bold prediction for his team\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Schottenheimer is especially confident in his quarterback, Dak Prescott.<\/p>\n

Speaking in his introductory press conference, Schottenheimer detailed his relationship with Prescott.<\/p>\n

The two have worked together for the last two seasons while Schottenheimer served as the\u00a0Cowboys\u00a0offensive coordinator.<\/p>\n

The offensive duo have already established a solid relationship that the new head coach thinks will serve the team well.<\/p>\n

\u201cIron sharpens iron. Dak and I have an incredible relationship, just like I have an incredible relationship with all these guys,\u201d Schottenheimer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDak and I know how to push each other\u2019s buttons, we know how to have a hard conversations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI laugh because I think about training camp last year, a ball got intercepted and we kind of had a thing in place where it was like if you throw an interception, you come out.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd so I took Dak out and he\u2019s like, \u2018What?\u2019 He pushed back. The competitor in him is special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schottenheimer shared that his relationship with Prescott will have to change due to the nature of his new role.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be tweaks. There\u2019s gonna be changes,\u201d Schottenheimer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut, he\u2019s the type of worker that changes an entire organization, and I think he and I see the game of football offensively very, very similar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll have tons of communication moving forward on some of the thoughts we wanna do, whether it\u2019s tempo or, some of the different things we\u2019re trying to do with our play-action passing game, the run game, things like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s easy to talk to and love and respect him along with all those guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schottenheimer has ambitious ideas of what the Cowboys can achieve with Prescott as their quarterback.<\/p>\n

Specifically, he believes the team will be winning Super Bowls in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s gonna play elite level football,\u201d Schottenheimer said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna win. We\u2019re gonna win a championship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prescott missed most of the 2024 season after undergoing surgery on a torn hamstring.<\/p>\n

However, the season prior he showed out as one of the top quarterbacks in the league.<\/p>\n
