As an offensive lineman for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, he served as co-captain of the 1981\u00a0Big Ten\u00a0Championship team and later played in the 1982 Rose Bowl despite suffering a midseason knee injury.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Athletic, Bruce Kittle went on to coach football at the University of Oklahoma and his alma mater, Iowa.<\/p>\n
