Should the Patriots bring back Josh McDaniels as their next Offensive Coordinator?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Patriots have a potential franchise fixture at quarterback in\u00a0Drake Maye.<\/p>\n<p>But one of the priorities for\u00a0Mike Vrabel\u00a0and New England\u2019s top brass in 2025 is fostering further development for the second-year QB.<\/p>\n<p>According to former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, the best way for New England to get the most out of Maye moving forward is by bringing former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels back into the fold.<\/p>\n<p>Gronkowski\u00a0first name-dropped McDaniels as a potential candidate for New England\u2019s OC position\u00a0before Vrabel was even appointed as the team\u2019s head coach, then\u00a0doubled down on the potential hire\u00a0once Vrabel took the job last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the \u201cUp &amp; Adams\u201d show earlier this week, Gronkowski expanded on why McDaniels is the man for the job when it comes to developing Maye.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, I truly believe he would be the right one for Drake Maye,\u201d Gronkowski said. \u201cI mean, he dealt with Tom Brady throughout his whole entire career. \u2026 He helped out Tom Brady tremendously. Josh McDaniels has a full grasp of the offense. He knows how to demand respect as an offensive coordinator. He knows how to develop quarterbacks,\u201d Gronkowski added. \u201cAnd not just quarterbacks, he knows how to develop players just like myself. \u2026 At the quarterback position that\u2019s where he\u2019s a masterpiece. And I believe he would take Drake Maye to a whole other level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on WEEI earlier this week, Vrabel was asked if McDaniels will be among the list of candidates for New England\u2019s offensive coordinator position.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, there\u2019s a long list.
