Initially offered as part of a limited-edition ticket package to celebrate Pope Leo XIV<\/strong> \u2014 a lifelong White Sox fan \u2014 the iconic black and green hats shaped like the pope\u2019s miter will now be available to every fan<\/strong> attending the Aug. 11 game<\/strong> against the Cincinnati Reds<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Originally, these Pope Hats<\/strong> were exclusive to fans who purchased tickets in five designated sections at Rate Field<\/strong>. However, due to an outpouring of interest, the White Sox have decided to open up the giveaway to all attendees<\/strong> on the special theme night.<\/p>\n

A Response to Overwhelming Demand<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

“The fans have spoken, and unlike some of our more limited-quantity promotions, the White Sox Pope Hat is one we believe all fans should have the opportunity to take home,” said Brooks Boyer<\/strong>, White Sox Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer<\/strong>. \u201cWe viewed the promotion as a creative way to celebrate one of the franchise\u2019s most popular fans, and by the overwhelming response we received, White Sox fans certainly agreed.\u201d<\/p>\n

For those fans who already purchased the special theme-night tickets, you won\u2019t miss out<\/strong>. In addition to receiving the exclusive White Sox Pope Hat<\/strong>, they will also get an additional pope-themed item<\/strong> at the game.<\/p>\n
