The Baltimore Orioles are off to an okay start in 2026. But they’ve played good baseball as of late. On Wednesday, they completed a three-game sweep over the Chicago White Sox. Kyle Bradish threw five frames, striking out seven batters in the win. However, it wasn’t the proudest outing of his career.<\/p>\n

In the bottom of the fifth, Bradish threw a ball inside that he felt was strike three. It would have ended the inning and helped him escape a jam. However, the umpire ruled it a ball. And things unraveled from there.<\/p>\n

In the end, the Orioles ended up winning the contest. After the game, though, Bradish owned up to being frustrated in this moment. He certainly was not pleased with how he reacted to the umpire’s decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrustration came out,\u201d the Orioles pitcher said, via Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Banner. \u201cUnacceptable. That\u2019s just childish behavior, and that will not happen again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Orioles, as mentioned, rallied to pick up Bradish and come away with the win. In the moment, though, it could have been a costly mistake. The Baltimore pitcher and manager Craig Albernaz immediately addressed it after the inning ended.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat play shouldn\u2019t have happened with KB,\u201d Albernaz said, via Kostka. \u201cKB is frustrated. We talked. You know he\u2019s frustrated. He owned up to it, and we had a good conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradish is coming off Tommy John surgery, from which he returned to the field late last year. The Orioles hope he can be a big part of the rotation in 2026. He has a chance to fully move on from this incident in his next scheduled start on April 14th against the Arizona Diamondbacks.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n
