And his message is turning heads across the league.<\/p>\n

As the draft board begins to take shape, Schefter has made it clear that one landing spot stands above the rest for one of college football\u2019s most intriguing offensive linemen. Not elsewhere. Not another contender.<\/p>\n

But the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia currently hold the No. 23 pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

That \u201chim\u201d is Monroe Freeling. Freeling entered the draft as a Georgia tackle after a 2025 season in which he appeared in all 14 games and made 13 starts, earning second-team All-SEC recognition from the league\u2019s coaches.<\/p>\n

At first glance, the fit might raise questions. Philadelphia has consistently invested in the offensive line, and the structure up front remains one of the franchise\u2019s defining strengths. The depth is there. The competition is real. But this isn\u2019t about filling a spot.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s about raising the standard.<\/p>\n

Freeling arrives with a production profile that\u2019s difficult to ignore. Across his Georgia career, he played in 31 games and made 17 starts, including a starting run late in 2024 before locking down the blindside in 2025. At 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds, he also tested as one of the most athletic linemen in the class, posting a 4.93-second 40-yard dash and a 33.5-inch vertical at the combine.<\/p>\n

This is not just another offensive lineman.<\/p>\n

This is a long-term investment in the trenches.<\/p>\n

But around the league, these kinds of draft connections rarely surface without reason.<\/p>\n

And if he\u2019s right, Philadelphia won\u2019t just be making another selection.<\/p>\n
