But, as ESPN\u2019s Adam Schefter suggested, that would be hard to come by, and it seems as if\u00a0Williams ends up remaining with San Francisco\u00a0no matter what.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div_adsconex_banner_responsive_2\" data-google-query-id=\"\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23156761210\/cafex\/banner_responsive_2_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">But, CBS Sports\u2019 Josh Edwards isn\u2019t necessarily seeing it that way, and he made that clear in a\u00a0recent mock draft\u00a0that has the 49ers finding Williams\u2019 heir apparent.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"scroll-mt-24 my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">CBS Sports mock draft grants Caleb Lomu to 49ers as Trent Williams\u2019 replacement<\/h2>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\">Edwards didn\u2019t shy away from highlighting the rift between Williams and the Niners, using that as reason alone for San Francisco to select Utah offensive tackle Caleb Lomu at No. 27 overall:<\/p>\n<div id=\"js_adsconex_parallax_1\" class=\"\" data-type=\"parallax\">\n<div class=\"adsconex-parallax_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"adsconex-parallax_ad-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"adsconex-parallax_ad\" align=\"center\">\n<div id=\"div_adsconex_inpage_1\" data-google-query-id=\"\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/23156761210\/cafex\/inpage_1_0__container__\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"border-lightGrey my-f-1\">\n<div class=\"italic text-black text-center font-group-large\">\u201cIt seems as though the union between San Francisco and Trent Williams is coming to an end.
