As the offseason begins to unfold, the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs<\/span>\u00a0could be preparing to move on from another veteran contributor on offense.<\/p>\n With free agency approaching in March, several players across the league are waiting to hear from their teams regarding potential new deals.<\/p>\n In Kansas City\u2019s case, however, the silence from the organization has already sent a strong message to one veteran wide receiver.<\/p>\n That player is\u00a0JuJu Smith-Schuster<\/span>, who recently shared that he has not heard from the Chiefs since the season ended.<\/p>\n According to Smith-Schuster, neither he nor his representatives have been contacted by the team\u2019s front office since the conclusion of Kansas City\u2019s season, leading him to believe that his time with the franchise has likely come to an end.<\/p>\n “I haven\u2019t heard anything from the team since the season wrapped up,”<\/em>\u00a0Smith-Schuster said when discussing his contract situation.\u00a0“At this point, I believe I\u2019ve played my final game in Kansas City.”<\/em><\/p>\n The veteran receiver is currently finishing a\u00a0one-year contract worth approximately $1.42 million<\/strong>, which he signed in March 2025 after returning to Kansas City following a stint with the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n During the\u00a02025 season<\/strong>, Smith-Schuster appeared in\u00a017 games<\/strong>, recording\u00a033 receptions for 345 yards and one touchdown<\/strong>.
