Mike Tomlin is out as head coach in Pittsburgh, replaced by none other than Mike McCarthy \u2014 the same coach who helped Rodgers win a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers. That familiar face could be the deciding factor in bringing the 42-year-old quarterback to the Steel City.<\/p>\n

Rodgers is currently a free agent, which means he still technically has every team in the league available to him. Yet multiple league sources now believe the Steelers have a clear edge if he decides to keep playing.<\/p>\n

Everything points to Rodgers returning for the 2026 season, with Pittsburgh firmly in the pole position. Schefter summed it up perfectly: \u201cI think the feeling is that he could be back with the Pittsburgh Steelers.\u201d<\/p>\n
