The Los Angeles Dodgers may have already made a blockbuster deal this winter with the signing of Blake Snell, but there are several free agents still available that helped the franchise win its eighth World Series title. The Dodgers have yet to reveal whether those key players will return for 2025.<\/p>\n

One of those free agents is outfielder Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez. In his first season with the Dodgers, Hern\u00e1ndez was an All-Star, became the first Dodger ever to win the Home Run Derby, and he hit a career-high 33 home runs. Hernandez\u2019s final accolade of 2024 was, of course, the greatest \u2014 a World Series ring.<\/p>\n

In an interview with\u00a0Dodgers Nation\u2019s Doug McKain, MLB insider Bob Nightengale predicted which team Hern\u00e1ndez will sign with this winter.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, they\u2019re probably letting him look around and say, \u2018Okay, if someone blows us away, fine,’\u201d Nightengale said. \u201cUsually, the Dodgers set a mark and say, \u2018Okay, if you\u2019re willing to sign for this, we\u2019ll do it. Otherwise, we\u2019ll turn our attention somewhere else.\u2019 I think Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez comes back.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loved playing with the Dodgers, and you saw during the postseason, during the parade, everybody raved about what a great teammate he was. So, I think Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez is back, and then you kind of fill in from there. But, you know, if Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez decides not to come back, they\u2019ll grab someone else. There\u2019s certainly enough outfielders out there. They do have some depth with the returning guys they have.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hernandez\u2019s emotional speech at Dodger Stadium during the World Series parade made it abundantly clear that the outfielder was grateful for the opportunity the Dodgers gave him when he signed a one-year contract for the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys made this dream come true. Thank you for making me a World Champion,\u201d Hern\u00e1ndez said through tears.\u00a0\u201cThat\u2019s how much I care, how much I appreciate everything that this organization, these fans have given to me. When I show that kind of emotion, that\u2019s when I truly feel it. I\u2019ve been blessed to be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this season, Hern\u00e1ndez also said that returning to the Dodgers was his top priority this winter.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy hopes are really high,\u201d Hern\u00e1ndez said of re-signing. \u201cLike I\u2019ve said before, the Dodgers are the priority obviously. I\u2019m going to do everything in my power to come back.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the coming weeks, it\u2019ll likely become clear whether Hern\u00e1ndez will return to the Dodgers for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
