Gallo became unplayable by season\u2019s end, posting a .686 OPS<\/strong> in the second half. V\u00e1zquez brought defensive value but saw his offense crater (60 OPS+<\/strong>). Correa\u2019s contract has since been offloaded, with the Twins now paying $10 million per year<\/strong> for him to play in Houston over the next three seasons.<\/p>\n

Moving early didn\u2019t protect the Twins from risk\u2014or disappointment.<\/p>\n
