The New Orleans Saints’ 2025 season has barely ended; however, that has yet to stop Alvin Kamara. The Saints captain is already back on the grind.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Kamara was seen on the Instagram story of\u00a0Jesse True, a Sports Specific Rehab and Dynamic Movement Specialist.<\/p>\n

Getting work done with the battling ropes, he didn’t look like a player who planned on retiring anytime soon. Kamara has previously said that he will retire if he is not playing in New Orleans, making it more than likely that he will stay in the Crescent City if he decides to keep playing.<\/p>\n

Getting a head start on the upcoming season is never a bad thing, but for Kamara, it might mean a little bit more.<\/p>\n

From the moment that it was announced that he wouldn’t be playing in the season finale, people have been saying that Kamara has likely played his last down. Not in 41’s head. Add him to the list of veterans who seem poised to return to New Orleans.<\/p>\n

Alvin Kamara’s downfall has been greatly exaggerated<\/h2>\n

Many have been quick to write off Alvin Kamara. However, he still has juice left in the tank. Yes, this past year was tougher on him physically than years past, but he also has one of the best rehab processes of any professional athlete.<\/p>\n

NewOrleans.Football got an in-depth look at the process just over a year ago, but the former All-Pro essentially has his trainer and physical therapist fly in from California every week to help him prepare for gameday.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Saints are bound to lessen the load for Kamara, whether that\u2019s via the backs they already have on the team (Devon Neal, Kendre Miller, Audric Estime), via the draft (Jeremiyah Love), or via free agency (Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker II, Nick Chubb).<\/p>\n

That can only lead to a healthier Kamara in 2026, which can only mean good things for the Saints.<\/p>\n

It’ll be interesting to see if Kamara maintains the same role as the Saints’ lead running back. From all signs, though, he’ll at least have a role in New Orleans. The Saints unquestionably need to add talent, but how high or how much they pay for that acquisition will tell you a lot.<\/p>\n
