The high school football player was traveling with his family at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n

High school star Brian Moss has died after a horror collision in Florida.<\/p>\n
Moss was a student at Viera High School in Brevard County, Florida.<\/p>\n
He was a 16-year-old freshman.<\/p>\n
It has been reported by local newspaper Viera Voice that Moss was involved in the incident on the evening of December 23.<\/p>\n

The football star was driving home from an event in DeLand, Florida, with his family.<\/p>\n
Information on Moss\u2019 death was released a day later on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n
A church that the Moss family attends has paid tribute to the rising star.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Moss family was in a car accident and tragically, Brian Moss has passed away due to injuries he sustained in the accident,\u201d the Church at Viera said in a statement.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cOur church family is heartbroken over Brian\u2019s death and we are holding you, his family, and his friends close in our prayers today.\u201d<\/p>\n
It has been reported by Florida Today that Moss\u2019 mother was set to play a key role in the church\u2019s Christmas festivities.<\/p>\n

She was set to sing at the church\u2019s Christmas Eve service.<\/p>\n
Moss\u2019 high school football coach Tony Gulla has explained the impact of the loss on the Viera Hawks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a tough loss. He was a great kid and an excellent student,\u201d Gulla said. \u201cWe spoke as a team. Some kids took it real hard. Some kids were crying.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome kids didn\u2019t even know about it, so it was a shock. And it\u2019s still a shock until it sets in. They\u2019re not going to realize the significance of it until we get to the memorial service.\u201d<\/p>\n
Coach Gulla has praised the player\u2019s commitment and speed.<\/p>\n
Gulla also explained that Moss was set to become the team\u2019s starting cornerback next year after a standout season.<\/p>\n

Moss had been named the Varsity Specialty Player of the Year just a week before his death.<\/p>\n
The coach opted to hold the team\u2019s scheduled workout with the team doing 34 pushups to commemorate Moss\u2019 jersey number.<\/p>\n
