After signing a four-year, $55 million deal with San Diego – a contract that\u2019s heavily backloaded – Pivetta delivered the best performance of his career. He threw 181 2\/3 innings of 2.87 ERA ball, good enough to finish sixth in the NL Cy Young voting.<\/p>\n
