The Green Bay Packers are preparing for a massive Week 15 showdown with the Denver Broncos, who currently are riding a 10-game win streak. At 11-2, Denver is the top seed in the AFC and can clinch a berth in the NFL Playoffs if they defeat Green Bay on Sunday. The Packers, meanwhile, are 9-3-1, and can maintain first place in the NFC North and the second seed in the conference if they win.<\/p>\n

However, it is not yet known whether or not running back Josh Jacobs will be able to play. As fans are well-aware, Jacobs injured his knee two weeks ago in Green Bay\u2019s victory over the New York Giants. He left that game early, but was able to play for the Packers against the Chicago Bears last week.<\/p>\n

Jacobs did not practice this week until Friday, and even then it was in a limited fashion. With his status in doubt all week, many were hoping that running back Marshawn Lloyd, who had been designated to return from a calf injury, could possibly return and make his long-awaited season debut.<\/p>\n

But that is not going to happen.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, Lloyd previously was designated to return from a calf injury that has kept him out all year. Unfortunately, the second-year running back has missed all but one game of his NFL career due to various soft tissue injuries.<\/p>\n

And despite a visit to a specialist in Los Angeles earlier this season, Lloyd just cannot seem to keep the injury bug away from him:<\/p>\n

Potentially important detail from the Packers\u2019 final injury report:<\/p>\n

While MarShawn Lloyd was ruled out and therefore won\u2019t be activated this week, the team now says he\u2019s dealing with a hamstring injury in addition to his previous calf injury. https:\/\/t.co\/LBx6vW6JFi<\/p>\n

As can be seen in the post above, Lloyd will, once again, be out for the Packers this weekend. But what makes this worse is that he now is dealing with a new hamstring injury in addition to the calf injury he suffered before.<\/p>\n

Many fans have wondered if the Packers will continue to be patient with the second-year running back as he works his way back over and over again, but the reality is that he is on a rookie contract and, therefore, is not taking up very much space on the team\u2019s salary cap.<\/p>\n

Ideally, he will get healthy and be able to contribute in the way the Green Bay envisioned he would when they drafted him.<\/p>\n

They will just have to wait a bit longer.<\/p>\n
