During the 2024 season, the Brewers ended up winning the National League Central division quite easily. However, when the playoffs arrived, Milwaukee ended up being dispatched of easily.<\/p>\n
Losing so quickly in the playoffs showed that the team is still a decent ways away from being a World Series contender. They will need to make some offseason moves in order to take the next step.<\/p>\n
With that being said, there are quite a few avenues that the Brewers could pursue in order to achieve that improvement.<\/p>\n
Milwaukee Brewers Urged to Pursue Bold Trade with Baltimore Orioles<\/strong><\/p>\n One potential avenue would be to scour the trade market. They could look to land a piece or two in trades.<\/p>\n Keeping that in mind, a suggestion has been made for the Milwaukee Brewers to consider.<\/p>\n Deesha Thosar of Fox Sports believes that third base is a position of need for the Brewers. She has suggested that Milwaukee should consider pursuing a trade with the Baltimore Orioles for young prospect Coby Mayo.<\/p>\n \u201cDangling a star pitcher like Williams in front of contenders that need bullpen help should net the Brewers a big return, so perhaps they could aim to land Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo, who has a ton of upside but has been somewhat held back by Baltimore\u2019s influx of infielders.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Mayo would certainly be an intriguing option for the Milwaukee Brewers. He is just 22 years old and has a very bright future ahead of him. However, he finds himself in a logjam with the Orioles.<\/p>\n During the 2024 MLB season, Mayo ended up playing in just 17 Major League games for Baltimore. In the minor leagues, he found quite a bit of success.<\/p>\n He played in 93 minor league games, hitting 25 home runs to go along with 73 RBI and slashing .293\/.372\/.592.<\/p>\n Those numbers, if they translate to the Majors, would be a massive boost for the Brewers. He would also become a long-term cornerstone piece in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n Would the Orioles be willing to trade Mayo?
