The Los Angeles Dodgers had plenty of injuries to deal with in 2025, leading to shortages in their bullpen and rotation towards the beginning of the season.<\/p>\n

River Ryan and\u00a0Gavin Stone\u00a0missed all of 2025 after they both underwent surgery, and while they couldn\u2019t help the Dodgers during their injury crisis last year, Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes revealed they\u2019d be ready for spring training.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe expect them to have a pretty normal year, whatever a normal year is coming off surgery,\u201d\u00a0Gomes said.Ryan made his\u00a0MLB\u00a0debut for the Dodgers in 2024, though he only made four starts before landing on the injured list for the remainder of the season. Through those four starts, however, Ryan kept a 1.33 ERA through 20.1 innings, allowing just three earned runs.<\/p>\n

Stone got started earlier than Ryan, making his debut in 2023, but didn\u2019t quite get things going until the following season. The right-hander made eight appearances, including four starts, in 2023, allowing 31 runs in 31 innings for an even 9.00 ERA.The 2024 season went much better for Stone, starting 25 games and keeping a 3.53 ERA throughout the season. He threw his first complete game shutout against the Chicago White Sox on June 26 of that season. He also landed on the injured list late that season, missing the Dodgers\u2019 World Series run.The Dodgers have a pretty set rotation heading into 2026, with\u00a0Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Roki Sasaki,\u00a0Shohei Ohtani, Tyler Glasnow and\u00a0Emmet Sheehan, but they could use help in the bullpen in the upcoming season. Integrating Stone or Ryan into a long relief role could be beneficial to the Dodgers, who struggled through the final couple of months of the season due to their bullpen\u2019s inconsistency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
