Things look grim for the 5-5 Kansas City Chiefs after their loss to the Denver Broncos, which all but ended their chances of claiming the AFC West title for a 10th straight season.<\/p>\n

But more than that, Kansas City’s playoff hopes are now in serious jeopardy, with Andy Reid’s team now a full game back from a wildcard spot thanks to their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are the seventh seed at 6-4.<\/p>\n

So, it looks to be a steep mountain to climb, but the Chiefs have the personnel in the locker room to come out the other side of this and make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

But what was the mood of the team on Sunday after such a disastrous loss?<\/p>\n

“It was disappointment last night,\u201d Reid said. \u201cThey fought their hearts out and had too many mistakes. I could have gotten them in better positions, but they were disappointed. These guys normally take responsibility for those type of things. So, I go around on the plane on the way back, and I see where we’re at and I get a pretty good feel on what the guys are thinking immediately after a game.<\/p>\n

“These guys are accountable for their actions. They don’t finger-point, and that’s going to help us get through and get on the positive end of this thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chiefs know season is on the line<\/h2>\n

At 5-5, with the 8-2 Indianapolis Colts up next at Arrowhead, the time is now for Kansas City.<\/p>\n

This Week 12 clash is the very definition of a must-win game, as each loss now will be devastating to the Chiefs’ playoff chances, and given there are still seven games left, that is a tough spot to be in.<\/p>\n

But that is what is ahead of Kansas City, and as Reid states, there is no blaming from those inside the locker room, and right now, togetherness is what is needed.<\/p>\n

This team has been there and done it countless times, and yes, things look bleak right now, but there is still a small glimmer of hope that this ship can get turned around in time.<\/p>\n

And it starts against the Colts.<\/p>\n
