Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur committed to Brandon McManus at kicker this week and talked injuries to Matthew Golden, Nate Hobbs and Lukas Van Ness during his Saturday press conference before facing the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.<\/p>\n

On Brandon McManus, who LaFleur confirmed who be the kicker this week: “You look at the total body of work. You guys probably read into what I said a little too much.” LaFleur talked of a competitive situation entering the week, and both McManus and Lucas Havrisik kicked on Thursday. But it’ll be McManus again against the Eagles on Monday night.<\/p>\n
On Matthew Golden, who is dealing with a shoulder injury: “It’s one of those deals, he’s fighting to play. He’s got to be able to handle everything we’re throwing at him…this is totally day by day.” Golden did not appear to practice on Saturday, suggesting he’s in danger of not playing Monday.<\/p>\n
On Nate Hobbs, who is not expected to play Monday night with a knee injury: “No, that was a new injury. That occurred in game. We’re trying to get him back as soon as possible.” Hobbs hurt his knee against the Panthers and could miss multiple games.<\/p>\n

On Lukas Van Ness, who will miss a fourth straight game with a foot injury that ended being more significant than the Packers believed: “It did not heal as quickly as we thought. Injuries are always a tough deal, sometimes they are a moving target. Everyone is a little different. The hope was we’d have him back before this, but that hasn’t been the case. It’s certainly not anything he’s doing or not doing, to try and get back.” LaFleur said Van Ness would be back “sooner rather than later” and is not going on injured reserve.<\/p>\n
On measuring stick games: “What a great opportunity. Monday Night Football. Defending world champions. Lambeau Field. I don’t think it gets much better than that. This is a really good football team, obviously. They’ve shown consistency for a number of years now. They have star power at every level and every phase. Nick has done a hell of a job there. In that regard, it is a great test for us.”<\/p>\n
The Packers will issue a final injury report on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
