The Arizona Fall League is already in its fourth week, and the White Sox have nine prospects in action, headlined by OF Braden Montgomery (White Sox No. 1\/MLB No. 35) and LHP Hagen Smith (No. 5\/No. 88). Rounding out the crew: IF Sam Antonacci (No. 11), RHP Tyler Davis, IF Ryan Galanie, RHP Carson Jacobs, OF Caden Connor, RHP Connor McCullough, and RHP Jarold Rosado.<\/p>\n
The White Sox hopefuls are playing for the Glendale Desert Dogs, sharing the dugout with players from the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately, the Desert Dogs are not very good. They went 2-4 last week, dropping their overall record to 6-15. However, there were plenty of positives to highlight for Chicago\u2019s prospects.<\/p>\n
Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025: Mesa Solar Sox 11, Desert Dogs 6
\nChicago\u2019s bats did the heavy lifting, racking up six of Glendale\u2019s eight hits. All six were singles, but they produced five of the team\u2019s six runs. Antonacci (1-for-5, 2 RBIs, SB), Connor (2-for-3, R, 2 BB, SB), Galanie (2-for-4, R, 3 RBIs, BB), and Montgomery (1-for-3, R, BB) all chipped in.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025: Desert Dogs 6, Mesa Solar Sox 4<\/strong>
\nAntonacci (0-for-2, 2 BB, CS) and Galanie (0-for-2, BB) were the only hitters playing, and while they couldn\u2019t put the bat to ball, at least they worked some free passes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\nHowever, the real story was the South Side hurlers. Smith turned in another solid outing, tossing three innings, allowing one run on one hit and a walk. He had only one punchout but spoke after the outing about tinkering a lot with his changeup in-game. It\u2019s a pitch he barely touched when he was with Arkansas; he only threw it 125 times, so it\u2019s definitely a work in progress.<\/p>\n
Jacobs and Rosado each threw a frame, earning holds. The righthanders both put up zeros across the board, getting one K apiece. Davis came out in the ninth and made it interesting, giving up one run on four hits. He did eventually settle down to get the final three outs and earn the save.<\/p>\n
Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025: Scottsdale Scorpions 10, Desert Dogs 5<\/strong>
\nDespite knocks from Antonacci (3-for-4, RBI, BB), Montgomery (1-for-5, RBI, 2 K) and Connor (1-for-4, 2 K), the Dogs couldn\u2019t rebound in this contest. Antonacci laced a double to left from the leadoff spot and is still one of the hottest hitters in the desert, raking with a .367\/.472\/.517 line. The 2024 fifth-rounder (No. 140) out of Coastal Carolina University is not a power guy, but he barrels a lot up in the zone and rarely chases. If he keeps it up, this could be a nice surprise on the South Side.<\/p>\nFriday, Oct. 31, 2025: Desert Dogs 6, Peoria Javelinas 3<\/strong>
\nGalanie was the lone Sox rep on the diamond in this one. He went 1-for-2 with a walk. While the 25-year-old is off to a slow start, he\u2019s showing some sign of life lately by raising his batting average to .244.<\/p>\nSaturday, Nov. 1, 2025: Mesa Solar Sox 10, Desert Dogs 9<\/strong>
\nDespite pounding out 19 hits to Mesa\u2019s 10, the Dogs still found a way to lose. Montgomery went nuclear: 3-for-4, homer, triple, walk, four RBIs, a single shy of the cycle. He launched his first AFL bomb in the opening frame, driving in Antonacci (2-for-5) after a single.<\/p>\nMontgomery\u2019s two-run triple in the ninth made it a one-run game. Connor (3-for-5, double, RBI) tied it up with a clutch double. But the Solar Sox walked it off anyway, two singles and a swipe sealing the Dogs\u2019 fate.<\/p>\n
Rosado took the mound in the sixth and got hit hard. He surrendered four runs on three walks, a hit, and a wild pitch. After yielding a tally and securing only one out, the righthander left with the bases loaded. Chay Yeager came on to replace him and served up a grand slam. Jacobs got two outs in the seventh, giving up a walk and striking out two. Davis pitched the eighth and held Mesa scoreless through the frame.<\/p>\n
Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025: Surprise Saguaros 9, Desert Dogs 1<\/strong>
\nIt was an ugly one in the Grand Canyon State for the Dogs. The bad news is they only managed three hits. The good news is that two of the three hits and<\/em> the lone run came courtesy of Chicago\u2019s prospects Connor (1-for-2, RBI, BB) and Galanie (1-for-2, BB, K).
