So, it was just an interesting moment to go from those different perspectives to kind of, I\u2019m cheering for me now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sabrina, a wife and mother of two young children, was diagnosed with stage four de novo metastatic breast cancer in November of 2024 \u2014 just one day before her son turned eight months old.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<div class=\"ad-unit__content\">\n<div id=\"acm-ad-tag-mr1_ab-mr1_ab\" data-slot=\"{&quot;is_oop&quot;:false,&quot;is_companion&quot;:true,&quot;sizes&quot;:[[[1280,0],[[300,250],[620,366]]],[[1024,0],[[300,250],[620,366]]],[[768,0],[[300,250],[325,204],[325,508]]],[[641,0],[[300,250],[325,204],[325,508]]],[[0,0],[[300,250],[325,204],[325,508]]]],&quot;size&quot;:[300,250]}\" data-unit=\"\/5678\/nx.wdaf\/health\" data-fbonly=\"false\" data-refids=\"\" data-not-refids=\"\" data-targeting=\"{&quot;kw&quot;:&quot;lets-keep-dancing-former-chiefs-cheerleader-fights-stage-4-cancer&quot;,&quot;pos&quot;:&quot;mr1_ab&quot;,&quot;fold&quot;:&quot;atf&quot;,&quot;category&quot;:&quot;health&quot;}\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cWhen we found out that it had spread to my bones and my liver, that was probably the worst day of my entire life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStage four can be treatable, but at that point, it can\u2019t be cured.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since that moment, Sabrina has approached each day with resilience and joy. I just hope it\u2019s clear to everybody that it is a true sisterhood, it\u2019s a community. And it\u2019s so much more than just cheering on the Chiefs to a victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her husband Bubba, who\u2019s been by her side since they were young kids, says her determination is nothing short of incredible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can either stop, or you can keep going,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd she just keeps freaking going. It\u2019s wildly inspiring and has been really motivating to have our kids with us the whole time, and it\u2019s like, okay, this is what we\u2019re fighting for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That fighting spirit hasn\u2019t gone unnoticed by her friends. Leslie McCain, Sabrina\u2019s former teammate and fellow cheerleader, says Sabrina\u2019s light has never dimmed, even through the hardest days.<\/p>\n<div id=\"civsci-id-civsci-id-305934525\" class=\"civic-science-article-container civic-science-more-14 civic-is-mr3\" data-civicscience-widget=\"3f127ebd-287e-0b64-a901-d55ec286348a\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">Family speaks on Blue Valley teacher\u2019s firing: \u2018Get Mrs. Hart back\u2019<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cShe is just joy,\u201d Leslie said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer smile, her laugh, it\u2019s contagious. Her light has always shone bright, but it\u2019s never been dimmed because of her diagnosis.
