JERRY JONES has revealed his stance on axing under-fire Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.<\/p>\n
The Cowboys have gone 3-7 in what has so far been a disastrous season for the NFL giants.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/p>\n 3<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/p>\n 3<\/p>\n<\/div> McCarthy’s troops are currently on a 0-5 run at AT&T Stadium, a slump which has prompted calls for the former Green Bay Packers chief to be fired.<\/p>\n But Jones is keeping the faith in McCarthy and his team, saying when asked if he thinks the players still have belief in their leader: \u201cYes I do.<\/p>\n “Yes, I do. That\u2019s overblown. That losing the team stuff, that\u2019s so overblown.<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, they\u2019re natural competitors.<\/p>\n “Secondly, they\u2019re so proud of the fact that they\u2019re professionals. Disappointed?<\/p>\n “Disappointed in maybe the way they executed a play, but not anything that\u2019s brother or first cousin to give up.<\/p>\n “That\u2019s not in that locker room. Really, it\u2019s not.<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody is certainly disappointed. But that\u2019s a big difference (from) not knowing you got to put the foot in front of the other and go.\u201d<\/p>\n He later added: “You don\u2019t need to worry about anybody in that locker room giving everything they\u2019ve got and more.<\/p>\n “And how bad they feel when they get beat on a play or get beat in a quarter or the whole game, at all.<\/p>\n Deion Sanders breaks silence on Dallas Cowboys coaching links after Michael Irvin’s live pitch to Jerry Jones on Netflix<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “I don\u2019t ever worry about that.”<\/p>\n Jones hasn’t hesitated to wield the axe over the years, although he admits he may have been premature with some of his past firings.<\/p>\n He said of his 2010 firing of Wade Phillips: “I\u2019ve regretted that.
